Grilled Mahi Mahi and light salad

Today I went to WholeFood in center city Philadelphia. They have a very nice variety of fish there, at competitive prices.

I decided for the Mahi Mahi. I bought over a pound of it and for two people it was definitely too much. The cats ended up with the left overs... Not great considering how pricy fish is, but I do love those cats.

I don't do anything to the fish before I grill it, maybe just a little bit of oil on the pan so it doesn't stick. Let the pan get really hot before you throw the fish on it. Let it cook well from the side with the skin first, then turn it.

Once it's done I put some olive oil on top, salt, paprika.

For the salad I always go with whatever is local and fresh. I bought some grape tomatoes from New Jersey, a cucumber and sprinkled some goat cheese on top. My salad dressing is one table of olive oil for each person, salt.

It was very delicious, I liked the combination of fish, goat cheese and tomatoes. Cucumber weren't great. Don't buy those.

If you're on a diet fish is the best, you can eat as much as you want of it, it's really easy to digest. Be careful about Salmon and Shrimp though, cause those have fat and cholesterol.

Enjoy!

  1. I didn't know it was eating BBQ
many are good for health or not.
But I'm an addict, and my house has lots of gas grills to cater for my taste
Especially in the summer when the demand for outdoor heat is high
