Seafood Soup Recipe + #ReadyChefGo Review - Real Italian Kitchen - Episo...

Ahhh... to steam in the oven. Wait. Say what?

That's what I thought when I first found out about the cooking bags by Ready Chef Go. Why would I steam in the oven? Well they have their reasons for thinking it's a good idea. Watch the video and find out!

Ok. Now that you've watched it, what do you think? Will this be a useful novelty to add to your cooking utensils or will it be another half used box that sits on your shelf?

I will definitely use this for soups and stocks, but not in the microwave and not to save time, that's for sure.

And to be honest, another thing that bothers me about this is the one time use of the bags. You know I don't like to waste, and this is a lot of plastic (or whatever these bags are made out of) that they are releasing in the environment!

So I'll give it a solid 2/5, because the quality of the steamed food is outstanding, but it looses stars when it comes to being environmentally friendly and for daily use.

I hope this was helpful!

LA Chef BBQ Grill Mat Honest Review - Real Italian Kitchen - Episode 107

Ok, so.

You know how much I like kitchen gadgets right?

This company called LA Chef, sent me one of their Grill Mat to review and I ended up buying a second one for my mother to use at her restaurant www.bagnomargherita.com... Yes. So.

You can watch the full video review for tips on how to use the product to its fullest potential, it took a little of trial and error to figure it out so I suggest you watch it.

I should also add (which doesn't say in the video) that you should try to always use the same side in contact with the grill and the other side with the meat, because the side that makes direct contact with the heat source looses the non-stick feature. I marked it with the tip of a knife .

You will like this product if:

-You cook outside a lot

-You're tired of cleaning your high temperature grill all the time

-You love to bake

-You hate to waste

I hope you'll enjoy the video and some of the other video recipes I made using the La Chef Grill Mat.

IntelliArmor IntelliGlass Product Review

Today I'm doing a nice things for a good company that makes very high quality products.

They were so kind to send me their Intelliglass, a screen protector for my iPhone 5s, which has been suffering stove spills, sink water drops, tooth brush rain and many other adversities.

Intelliglass is easy to install and in the package you find:
- an alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean the surface of your screen
- a microfiber cloth to remove any remaining streaks from the alcohol wipe
- a little card that will help you get rid of all the leftover bubbles COMPLETELY

And of course, it comes with step by step instruction that I will not report right here right now, because they are so easy to follow and read on your own that you don't need me for that!

Because Intelliglass is rigid, you won't have a lot of "air bubbles" between the protector and your screen, giving you the best touch sensitivity you've ever experienced.

Throw away your old plastic film (that makes you push on an S every time you need and A) and get yourself one of these, use the code INTELLI20 for 20% off your order!

Hope this was helpful, you can find a demonstration of Intelliglass in this video below, after the introduction,

4 Buona Vita Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Vinegars Honest Review

Well hello hello!
Today I'm going to review these flavored Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegars by 4 Buona Vita. If you haven't done so already I suggest you take a look at the youtube video where I taste these great products blindfolded, with the help of my lovely assistant (my husband), and I almost die on one of them...!

It's a great way to see my honest reaction, that was the first time I had ever tried any of their stuff, and you can ALSO find out the promo code to receive 10% your 4 Buona Vita purchase!

Check it out right here:

I am not going to say the same things I said in the video in this blog post.
Here I'd really like to get into some practical uses for these flavored oils.

A few things to say about all of them...

1. First of all they make a great gift for your friend "the foodie" who already has everything in his/her pantry (like me), but I bet you he/she doesn't have these!

2. The quality is way superior to any of the other flavored oils I've tasted so far and even compared to my own homemade recipe for spicy oil, because I can NEVER EVER find spicy enough red peppers in Philly... But that's a different story, back to the point now..

Arbequina Olives Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

This is their "plain" olive oil, but there's nothing plain about it. I had never tried this particular olive before, and it's highly aromatic, with accents of grass, it's a very mild olive oil.

Suggested uses: since it's such a special oil, I suggest consuming raw, on a bruschetta or to top off a soup.

Flaming Jalapeño Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

This is the one that really caught me by surprise in the video! It's so spicy that it would make a great alternative to hot sauce or to the use of spicy peppers in any recipes.

Try it on: bruschetta, soups, pasta sauces, and in place of any "spicy heat" in any recipe

Smoked Jalapeño Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

This one was less spicy compared to the flaming jalapeño, but it still retained some heat.

I would use it on: bbq sauces, to bring the flavors of the grill indoors!

Wood Smoked Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

In this one the smoked flavor is way more intense then the previous, but it lacks the heat of the jalapeño. Suggested uses: same as above: bbq sauces, mix it with some fresh herbs and rub it on a piece of meat or fish to achieve the flavor of an outdoor barbecue inside your home.

The aged Balsamic Vinegars: black and white

I was particularly impressed about how delicate and yet complex the flavors of these balsamic is. They are sweet but then the acidity kicks in, giving depth to any dish you will put them on.

I have a video recipe coming up about the white balsamic vinegar, so subscribe to my Youtube Channel to stay connected and get the latest from yours truly.

Like any other great balsamic you can try it on: fruit, salads,  pinzimonio,  cheese, cold pasta salads, and what ever else your little heart desires!

I hope this was helpful, please feel free to share this post with anyone you think would be interested, find me on social networks, youtube or sign the mailing list to this very blog up to.

Enjoy!!

Sili Mitts by Life Quintessentials Honest Review - Real Italian Kitchen

Today I would like to present a product that was sent to me by a company called Life Quintessentials.

These Sili Mitts, silicone oven mitts, aren't just regular silicone oven mitts. The nice people from Life Quintessentials thought about how rough regular silicone mitts are on our hands and designed theirs with a quilted cotton blend inner lining, for our comfort and joy!

They are really neat to use, although mine are a little too big for my little hands.

I love that when you get them dirty you can just wash them and BOOM! they're clean again. My regular cotton oven mitts get really dirty and after a few washes the filling gets destroyed, these are definitely a huge improvement on convenience and cleanliness.

I'm not pushing this product just because it was sent to me for free. If you know me at all you know I wouldn't recommend something if I didn't believe in it.

Watch the video above to see them in action! I hope this was helpful!

Crispy and Thin Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe - Real Italian Kitchen

Good news everyone!

Remember that video that tried to teach everybody how to achieve the perfect cookie for your taste? Forget about that! If you like them crispy this is the recipe for you :-)

The video above has the step by step, but for those out there that prefer a reading experience, I'll write out here as well. Because that's how much I love you and I care.

CRISPY AND THIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients:

2 cups/260gr flour
1 tsp/6 gr baking soda
1tsp/ 10gr salt
1 cup/226gr butter
1 cup/200gr sugar
1/2 cup/80gr brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups of your favorite chocolate chips, I chose a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate at 70%, but you can also buy the semi sweet pre-cut chocolate chips

Utensils:

Kitchen Aid with the paddle attachment, or your hands..
Cookie sheet
Cooling Rack

Don't forget to give me a thumbs up if you liked the video, feel free to share it with your friends, and if you make it, I'd love to know how it turns out, leave a comment here or on your favorite social network!

STEP BY STEP:
1. Start by cutting the butter in smaller chunks so you will be able to work it more easily.
2. In a bowl work the butter with the sugar until you get a nice smooth golden brown blend. Taste it if you dare.
3. Add the egg. Whip it real good.
4. Add the flour, salt, baking soda. If using the kitchen aid, careful not to splash flour all over the place when you turn it on.
5. Add the vanilla extract and the chocolate chips. Insert sarcastic comment here.

6. Cover the bowl with a plate (for the love of Mother Earth stop using cellophane), and let it set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
7. Once the dough has had the time to set, you can start making little cookie balls, 1 inch (1.5cm) of diameter more or less (small...for those of you who aren't good at geometry). Organize your cookie balls on the cookie sheet, at a fair distance from one another, they'll spread a lot.
8. Bake at 375F/180C for about 7 minutes. They should be golden brown on the edges and very soft in the middle. Not to worry though! Give it a minute and then with a spatula get them on the cooling rack. They will be super crunchy in no time!

Let me know if you try them!

Enjoy!!

Save the Earth Quick Tip and Review - Microfiber Cloth by Pro Kitchen Tools

Hi Everybody,

Today we're going to talk about a very small quick action that will help you be more "green" and ultimately save our beloved planet earth, and it will also help you save a lot of money on cleaning products and paper towels.

I’ve recently aquired this microfiber cloth by Pro Kitchen Tools, they say it’s for stainless steel kitchen appliances and streak free glass but it can clean successfully way more surfaces then that!

Each pack comes with three cloths, so you can put one in the bathroom, one in the kitchen and give the third one to a friend.

I personally really love the result I get. Using it is simple: just get it wet and ring it well. Then go around the house like I did and see how many things you can clean and polish with it!

Here’s my list so far:

Microwave
Sink
Computer Screen and Keyboard (it cleans it like windex and a papertowel could never do for me)
Coffee table, with coffee stains on it
A pot for one of my plants that was all covered in dirt
The dog’s nose print off the winows (and again no cleaning product necessary)
Flat screen LCD TV
My husband’s guitars
Picture frames

As for the bathroom:
Mirror
Sink
Any chrome or stainless steel finishes.

I’ve been using cloths instead of papertowels for years now and I have to say that this cloth is really an improvement on the his predecessors.

Follow this link to buy it on Amazon, start saving trees, the environment, your hands and have your house sparkle and shine streak free!

Watch the cleaning demonstration in the video below!

I hope this was helpful!
